I turn 20 this month! So to celebrate I'll post atleast one sketch a day with a whole slew ( honest injun, my scanners up and running) tomorrow! YAY 20!

Artless post

Hey guys, sorry for lagging on this blog , I have been drawing but it's mostly been in my private sketch journal and I didn't think the net needed to see sketches of crap proportions. 

So an update on what's got me so distracted from the drawing board: 

- Bought " The Illusion of Life" by Frank and Ollie and have been reading it every chance I get. 

- Got my heart broken. ( no worries, I'll be fine, my four boyfriends ben, jerry, frank and ollie are taking good care of me ) 

- Patching up things with my mom, she's not in remission but she has been having a lot more lucid moments so we've been talking. 

- Trying to find a job , I've even volunteered my time at the local elementary schools but not even they've called me back. 

- Getting my act together health wise, yep cheating on both ben and jerry for the balance ball. Lost five pounds thusfar, only 10 to go and I'll be 190! haven't been under 200 in a year and man I can't wait. Sadly this was spurred on by getting my heart pinata-ed but , whatever gets your gears I guess. 

A question: Would you guys want to see some of my more personal, scribbly sketches?

This week... womanhood

More and better goodies later , it's been a long couple of days. 

Awkward teenager = Wybie?

Seriously? I can't sleep so I was doodling different body types in everyday poses. 

I try to draw an awkward teen stretching and... it started looking like Wybie from Coraline , so 

I groaned and finished it off as him as it wasn't the first time this has happened since watching the first sneaks , then the movie.  Little bits of the kid have snuck into every sketch of my project character >:|

 Now let us pray the giggling teen fans never catch wind of this.

BTW, a little note on Wybie: From the first clip with him I KNEW he was bi racial! It made me so happy as you never see enough of it in any medium so my little mixed race heart sang. Growing up I never had a fictional character I could really relate to on that level so hopefully this will start a trend and my kids will have more characters like him to grin about and feel more normal because of. On that note I love that they didn't shove his race in , that it just was without note like it should be , too often in movies you get the " token racial kid" where they have to do something stereotypical to show their race and it's gotten old.

Ever talk to an Ex boyfriend/girlfriend/cuddlebuddy and realize you were completely off your crot when you dated them?  Yeah , mines a furry now. 

Done during an hour long conversation in which I had the phone perched on the printer after 5 minutes.  When you start wondering if there was an "other" slugzilla , it's time to hang up.
